A GROUP of demonstrators who held an anti-mask and anti-lockdown protest in the city were branded ‘utter prats’.

The Portsmouth for Freedom demonstration took place in Guildhall Square on Saturday.

It was led by Piers Corbyn, the older brother of former Labour party leader Jeremy Corbyn. Piers has been an outspoken critic of lockdown and other coronavirus measures.

The rally saw more than 100 people gather outside Portsmouth Guildhall as protesters took it in turn to give speeches.

As reported, cabinet minister and Portsmouth North MP Penny Mordaunt labelled the protesters ‘complete and utter prats’.

She added: ‘This is reckless, irresponsible and just plain stupid.’
