‘I think they have also become highlighted recently as well with the clap for the NHS as well. I hope that, although raising money is great, staff have seen the moral support that everyone is giving them.’

The last two pieces up for auction, by Fark and Roma-May Daly, have been bought by Neil Cater from Southsea.

Samo said: ‘I am thrilled that I have been able to support the NHS and QA staff and get some really lovely art.’

The first auction piece, by My Dog Sighs entitled Even Apart We Are Together, now has a new home in Rotherham.

It was bought by Susan Stokes who was bidding on behalf of a friend.

She told The News: ‘Firstly I must say that I was actually bidding for my friend who appreciates art far more than I do.

The auction ends on Sunday, July 12, at 8pm.
