Emergency services called to suspected Hampshire heart attack

Coastguard and lifeboat crews were called to a vessel off the coast of Hill Head following what was believed to have been a heart attack.

A helicopter lifted the casualty back to dry land while coastguard crews treated them.

They were subsequently taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham for further treatment

Posting on social media, Hill Head Coastguard Rescue Team said: ‘[We were] tasked as part of a multi-asset response to reports of a medical incident aboard a vessel in mid-Solent.

‘Bristow Group Coastguard Helicopter R175 extricated and treated the casualty before onward transport by South Central Ambulance Service.

‘The remaining crew onboard the vessel were escorted to Port Hamble Marina by Hamble Lifeboat, where they were met by Coastguard officers.’
