The 38-year-old has now teamed up with fellow mental health non-profit Panic Loves Company to create a six-part YouTube series, featuring music scene veterans DJ Fat Tony and O Beach co-owner, Tony Truman, who share their first-hand experiences of the psychological toll the party lifestyle can take and model Demi Rose, who provides a heartfelt account of grief after losing both her parents.

Ian told The News: ‘I do Instagram lives every Wednesday for We Are Hummingbird and I spoke to Panic The Mother last year, who runs Panic Loves Company last year and we wanted to do one but we thought we would need more than 30 minutes to discuss everything.

‘It just grew from there and we decided to make it six episodes and have guests on who would be open and raw about their experiences. I think as well they all look like they have amazing lives on social media so it is good for people to see that everyone is human and goes through things.’

The series was filmed in Ibiza this year and Ian and the team spent a couple of months organising and editing the series for it to be published to coincide with World Suicide Prevention Day on Thursday.

In Portsmouth, latest figures from Public Health England shows there were 68 cases of suicide in Portsmouth between 2017 and 2019 with men accounting for more than two-thirds of suicide deaths registered in the city.

Ian said: ‘The last episode of the series is called ‘The Final Curtain’ and we talk to Tony Truman about suicide. The sad truth is that there is more male suicide than female and that isn’t going to change any time soon unless we start the conversation.

‘The O Beach team has experienced suicide and Tony has lost three close friends to suicide as well. It is so raw and not like anything I have seen before on suicide and mental health in general. It isn’t clinical at all, it is just people opening up about everything and that is our goal, to get people to be more open and break down those barriers for talking about mental health.’

Ian added: ‘I am proud of what we have done and I really hope that the series gets the response and the views it deserves.’
