Havant man praises hospital and ambulance teams after suffering heart attack

A MAN has praised the ambulance and hospital teams who responded when he suffered a heart attack.

Anthony Frost started getting a pain in his chest and called 999 to be taken to hospital.

Within 30 minutes of calling South Central Ambulance Service he had been transported to Queen Alexandra Hospital, in Cosham, and was being seen to.

Now he wants to say a big thank you to the people who helped with his recovery.

Mr Frost, 72, said: ‘I started to get a pain in my chest while watching television at home.

‘I felt I needed to go to hospital when it got worse and I got my wife June to call for an ambulance.

‘The ambulance turned up within 10 minutes and the paramedics were so caring, making me feel at ease.’

Mr Frost, from Bedhampton, was then taken to the emergency department at QA Hospital.

As soon as he arrived, he was scanned and had a cannular fitted.

He added: ‘The doctors at QA were first-class and they made me feel as though I was safe. I just want to say a massive thank you to all the staff.’

Mr Frost had to stay in hospital for six days but has fully recovered.
