STAFF who are continuing to deliver homecare during the pandemic have been sent goodie bags and letters as a thank you for their dedication.

Mark Gettinby, owner of Home Instead Senior Care Havant, has heaped praise on his team of CAREGivers and sent each a bag of goodies, including chocolate treats and hand cream, as well as a handwritten note to show his appreciation and lift spirits during this difficult time.

Mark said: ‘We are proud of our team of CAREGivers and wanted to say thank you for their efforts in keeping our clients safe and supported in their own homes.’

The company also recently launched a well-being kit for staff which contains articles, advice, and resources to help maintain healthy emotional and physical well-being as well as positive self-development. It also includes access to a counsellor for 1-2-1 support.

Anna Hansley, a CAREGiver at Home Instead said: ‘Being a caregiver for Home Instead is exceptionally rewarding.

‘I get so much pleasure from visiting my regular clients on a daily basis. It’s so fulfilling to support people to stay safe in their own homes.’

A client’s relative described the staff and the service Home Instead have been providing their nan as ‘absolutely amazing’.

They said: ‘Nan constantly says what a good job they do for her. So, thank you from our whole family for everything. All we want to do is go and see Nan, and we know more than anything she wants us to take her great-grandchildren round to give her a big hug.

‘But we will stay away, for her. We literally couldn’t ask for more from them. My mum, I know in particular is extremely grateful. [The staff are] absolutely amazing.’
