Rainbow shines over Queen Alexandra Hospital on evening of weekly NHS clap

The inspirational rainbow helped lift spirits as people prepared for the weekly ritual.

The picture was taken by Emily Butt at 6pm. ‘On the day we clap for our NHS heroes I’ve just taken this photo,’ she wrote on Twitter.

The image encapsulated the mood of hope as applause rang out across the region for NHS workers.
