TWO new non-executive directors have been appointed to a health trust.

The pair were appointed by NHS Improvement, a statutory body responsible for appointing all chairs and non-executives to NHS trusts throughout England.

They will be paid £6,157 a year and Solent chairman Dr Alistair Stokes said they bring a wealth of experience.

‘We’re delighted Michael and Francis have agreed to come and work with us,’ he said.

‘They both bring an enormous wealth of experience that, no doubt, will further enrich our board.

‘We are an NHS Trust whose values are steeped in the heart of, and indeed reflect, the communities we serve. They both have proven track records in providing public service – a shared ethos which resonates very well with our values.’
