The Royal Navy’s newest Type 45 Destroyer, HMS Defender, has sailed into her new home at HM Naval Base Portsmouth for the first time on the 20th August 2012.

HMS Defender returns home. ET(WE) Rowan Chappell reunited with Nephew Rhys Chappell and Girlfriend Keri Allen. The Portsmouth-based warship HMS Defender returned home today 8th July 2016 from a nine month deployment to the middle east carrying out security operations. The Band of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines Portsmouth performed on the jetty as the crowds eagerly awaited the return of sailors on board.
