One time or another, most of us will have been cared for at Portsmouth’s historic QA Hospital.

As the builders move in to create a new accident and emergency department and a crane towers over the site, it is looking to the future.

And here we’ve had a look back through the archives at some our favourite photos of the hospital, its staff and patients who have made the news.
