Wight Spirit, 196870 includes more than 60 rarely-seen photos taken by Charles Everest at the 1970 festival, where a record 600,000 people gathered to see the likes of Jimi Hendrix and The Who perform.
The photographer managed to get up close and capture the spirits of the act as they performed in front of the large crowd at the festival – which would become known as Europe’s Woodstock.
The exhibition will take place at Masterpiece Art, 3 Norland Place, London W11 4QG between July 27 and September 5 2020.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the exhibition is by appointment only. The contact telephone number is 020 3946 7881 should you wish to go.
