The Sunderland-built Qashqai is largely credited with helping launch the boom in C-segment SUVs but the second-generation, launched in 2014 has begun to lag behind its latest rivals. Nissan says this all-new version will return it to the top of the market with new drivetrains, technology and improved passenger space.
Premiere Edition models will showcase the range’s latest technology with a nine-inch central touchscreen for navigation and media functions alongside a 12.3-inch configurable digital instrument display. They will also feature a 10.8-inch head-up display, adaptive LED matrix headlights and be available with the brand’s ProPilot driver assistance pack.
Standard equipment also includes a panoramic sunroof, 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, 15W wireless phone charging and wireless Apple CarPlay connectivity, four USB ports and home-to-car connectivity with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa functions.
Premiere Edition Qashqais will be offered in a range of two-tone exterior finishes which contrast a black or grey roof with blue, grey or white bodywork.
Andrew Humberstone, managing director of Nissan GB, said: “The All-New Nissan Qashqai sets the bar even higher in the competitive C-SUV segment and we are confident it will more than live up to customer expectations.
"The Premiere Edition is a compelling package for those wanting to be the first to experience new Qashqai’s cutting-edge design, convenient and intuitive technologies, and dynamic, efficient performance.”
