NEW photos taken by Kate Middleton have been released to mark Princess Charlotte's fifth birthday.

The shots were posted on the Kensington Royal Instagram account, alongside the caption: ‘Thank you for all your lovely messages on Princess Charlotte’s fifth birthday!

‘The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to share a new photograph of Princess Charlotte, taken by The Duchess this April.’

The snaps come after the young princess pitched in with food deliveries earlier this week, helping to pass out parcel to vulnerable neighbours.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s daughter loaded the family’s handmade produce into boxes before taking them out to shielding locals.

She and brothers George, six, and Louis, two, had helped their parents make fresh pasta at their Anmer Hall home in Norfolk.

In birthday shots, adorable Charlotte – wearing a black and white checked collared dress – was also shown knocking at a resident’s door to drop off the food.
