
The prestigious publication highlights what it considers to be the best dining establishments in the country.
Restaurant 27 in South Par, Southsea, has been featured in the latest edition published on Monday.
It has been given the Michelin Plate – which is one of the awards given to restaurants – for good cooking.
Explaining the reason for featuring Restaurant 27, the Michelin Guide says: ‘This elegant restaurant is professionally and passionately run.
‘Attractively presented, contemporary dishes have a slight Scandic style; they only serve tasting menus, supplemented by a set priced Sunday lunch.’
Restaurants are currently shut for dine-in customers due to the third national lockdown, but Restaurant 27 is offering a takeaway 'Taste of 27' Dine @ Home set menu on Fridays.
36 on the Quay and Fat Olives in Emsworth have also been awarded the Michelin Plate.
The guide also awards the coveted Michelin stars and the Bib Gourmand.
No restaurants in Hampshire have been awarded a Michelin star in the 2021 guide.
Pulpo Negro in New Alresford is the only restaurant to have been given the Bib Gourmand in the county.
The Michelin Guide was started by the French tyre company more than one hundred years ago.
