'The regulars are loving it': Tides Coffee Shop in Fareham looks spectacular following extension and refurbishment

A waterfront coffee shop has gone from strength to strength since its opening two years ago – and it has recently undergone a spectacular refurbishment.

Jackie said: “I opened Tides in 2022 because I saw the space up for rent and I have lived in the community for a long time and even though I have never worked in a coffee shop or even owned one, I gave up my job at the council where I’d worked for many years and decided to give it a go.”

The coffee shop closed its doors on August 11 whilst it underwent the work – and people have been flooding in since it re-opened in a bid to get a glimpse at the new interior and space. Jackie said that the new extension has also meant that the site has gained an additional ten seats which will allow the team to welcome more customers who want to sit in.

"It’s working out really well – it got so popular that the tiny little space that we had had to change – so we decided to expand – so we are now able to feed more people and have a little bit more space.

"All of the regulars are loving it and we’ve only been open four days since the refurb but it seems to be going well and everybody is enjoying it.”
