No Man’s Fort was purchased by Clarenco for £2.6m back in 2009 and over a ten-year period, the owner ploughed money into it in order to transform it into an incredible space which offers a luxury and unique stay. After going up for sale before the pandemic, the fort originally had a price tag of £4.25m but with no prospective owners setting up to buy the structure, the price quickly plunged. After being on the market for years, the fort was sold at auction on June 18 with Savills for £1,120,000.
Located between the Isle of Wight and Portsmouth coastline, this remarkable structure spans an impressive 99,000 square feet spread across four storeys. Previously run as a hotel, it features 23 spacious en-suite bedrooms, crew quarters and a variety of entertaining spaces including bars and restaurants accommodating up to 200 guests, a traditional English pub and even a nightclub. Completing its appeal is a rooftop terrace and BBQ area, providing uninterrupted views of the English coastline.
