Parkdean Resorts announce new family activities at Hayling Island Holiday Park – as more staff are hired
The holiday operator has said demand for breaks in September, October and November has doubled compared to last year as more families look to book a staycation in the UK, rather than heading abroad.
As part of plans to entertain families during the half term break, all UK resorts will be running a series of Halloween activities and events.
These include zombie-themed fun runs, pumpkin carvings, fancy dress competitions, ghost walks, and pottery and crafts sessions.
Parkdean has already announced 1,500 new team members have been hired across its resorts, including a record number working at the Hayling Island site.
Steve Richards, chief executive of Parkdean Resorts, said: ‘People have really fallen back in love with the Great British holiday, and we’re pulling out all the stops to make sure holidaymakers and holiday home owners can make the most of their staycation this autumn.
‘Our teams on park have done a fantastic job and we’re determined to finish the year with a bang.’
Parkdean reopened its 67 UK holiday parks when lockdown restrictions were eased in July.
Earlier this year the company confirmed an £80m investment in improving buildings, facilities, maintenance, health and safety, and environmental areas.
