Aberfan coal powered Hayling Billy

Last week I wrote about the Aberfan disaster of October 21, 1966. The Merthyr Vale Colliery overlooked the village and, believe it or not, coal from the mine actually fuelled the Hayling Billy '“ the steam train that ran from Havant to Hayling Island. And to prove it, here's a consignment note loaned to me by Havant historian Ralph Cousins.
