Cancer survivor's fundraiser fair

AN AUTUMN fair is being hosted to raise money to support cancer treatment at Queen Alexandra Hospital.Â

The event, taking place at Bedhampton Social Hall, is being organised by Lorraine Till, who successfully overcame bowel cancer in 2014 after treatment at QA.

'˜Unfortunately I lost a friend this year to lung cancer and so I really want this event to raise money to help beat this disease,' said Mrs Till.

The fair, which takes place on Saturday the 27th October, will include craft and cake stalls, raffles and music from local group Urban Vocal. Children will also be able to create glitter tattoos and decorate their own Halloween cookies to take home.

Money raised will be split between the hospital's Cancer Information and Support Centre and the Colorectal Treatment and Research Department.

'˜Last year we raised £2000 and I would hope we can generate at least that amount again,' said Mrs Till.
