Cathedral work nearly complete

Portsmouth Cathedral work nears completion

Restoration work has been carried out around the exterior and the tower of Portsmouth Anglican Cathedral in Old Portsmouth.

The work has been ongoing since 2015, but it is expected that this will be completed by the end of the month.

Brickwork around the cathedral has been restored, with the east end of the building receiving significant treatment.

The cathedral had received £594,783 from the Church of England First World War Centenary Cathedrals Repair fund to carry out the work – one of 31 cathedrals in the country to receive funding.
