People are being invited to create a poppy and plant it at Portsmouth Cathedral's field of remembrance, in Old Portsmouth.

'˜All are invited to come and make a poppy and take part in this commemorative activity', said the reverend canon chancellor and acting dean, Peter Leonard. '˜The resources are available and prepared with clear and easy instructions.  All you need to do is assemble the poppy, then place it with the other poppies beside the war memorial outside the cathedral.

'˜If you would like to you can write the name of somebody you'd like to remember onto your poppy or dedicate your poppy to one of the names cut into the memorial.'
