Charity shop looking for items of '˜old stuff'

A CHARITY shop is encouraging people to have a clear out and donate unwanted items to raise funds.

In light of National Old Stuff Day – which is taking place on March 2 – Age UK in Fareham is urging people to collect their unwanted items and donate them to raise funds for the charity’s work which is supporting elderly people.

The profits raised by the Age UK shops will help to fund the vital work that the charity does including the free advice line (open 365 days), campaigns, support for the network of local Age UK partners.

Donations can be maximised by signing up to gift aid. That extra money doesn’t cost a penny and helps raise more valuable funds for people in later life.

Age UK is a national charity that works with a network of partners across England, to help everyone make the most of later life, whatever their circumstances.

Its work focuses on ensuring that older people receive the care they need.
