Community groups receive grants

TWELVE Gosport-based community groups have been allocated a total of £102,347 from the Hampshire Police and Crime Commissioner's Safer Communities Fund.

The fund aims to support groups keeping people safe and protect the most vulnerable within our communities.

Motiv8 received £14,225 and Gosport Commuinity Safety Partnership received £9,503, among others.

Gosport MP Caroline Dinenage said: '˜It is fantastic to hear that so many local projects have been given this grant funding, ensuring the voluntary sector can continue doing their important work in our local community.'
