Watch the scenes unfold in Eastney last night

The arrival in Portsmouth of migrants who were crossing the Channel sparked angry protests last night.

RNLI boats brought more than 100 people to Eastney after the group attempted the crossing from France, but were rescued along the way.

News of their arrival then saw protesters descend on Portsmouth in an attempt to stop the migrants from being off-loaded so they could be transported to a specialist facility in Kent. They were eventually transported in the early hours of this morning.
