Officers were called after the victim, from Waterlooville, had reported being attacked by three men in North Hill, Fareham, at 9.24am on Tuesday.
The victim was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital to be treated for his injuries, which were described as serious but not life-threatening.
A 26-year-old man and a 29-year-old man, both from Gosport, and a 27-year-old man, whose address is to be confirmed, were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent.
A 31-year-old woman from Fareham was also arrested on suspicion of conspiring to cause grievous bodily harm.
A spokeswoman from Hampshire Constabulary said: ‘They have all been released from custody on police bail as enquiries continue.’
