Benefit cheat, 49, admits fraud lasting two years
BENEFIT fraudster Michele Scobling has appeared in court.
The 49-year-old, of Mullion Close, Port Solent, admitted three counts of fraud. Two related to claims for jobseeker’s allowance and employment support allowance in failing to tell the Department for Work and Pensions she had capital.
The third was her saying she had capital below the minimum amount. The JSA claim was between October and November 2013, and the ESA between November 2013 and February 2015.
Portsmouth magistrates imposed a community order with 200 hours unpaid work and must pay a £60 victim surcharge.
