Biker, 64, injured in hit and run incident in Portsmouth

A CRASH in Portsmouth left a motorcyclist seriously injured, say police.

At around 1.15pm yesterday, a blue and white motorcycle was caught up in a collision in Church Road, Fratton, at the junction with Tottenham Road.

The second vehicle, believed to be a dark 4x4, drove off without stopping.

A spokesman said: ‘The rider, a 64-year-old man from Portsmouth, suffered potentially serious injuries to his knee and ankle.

'It is believed the second vehicle was a dark 4x4, driven by a woman with blonde hair.

‘Were you on the road at the time? Perhaps you have dash-cam footage that could help our investigation?’
