Biker, 64, injured in hit and run incident in Portsmouth

At around 1.15pm yesterday, a blue and white motorcycle was caught up in a collision in Church Road, Fratton, at the junction with Tottenham Road.

The second vehicle, believed to be a dark 4x4, drove off without stopping.

Hampshire Constabulary has launched an investigation.

A spokesman said: ‘The rider, a 64-year-old man from Portsmouth, suffered potentially serious injuries to his knee and ankle.

'It is believed the second vehicle was a dark 4x4, driven by a woman with blonde hair.

‘Were you on the road at the time? Perhaps you have dash-cam footage that could help our investigation?’

Anyone with information is asked to contact police via 101, quoting the crime reference number 44200406212.

Alternatively, people can call Crimestoppers to give information anonymously, by phoning 0800 555 111.
