Body of man in his 80s found next to footpath in Stubbington

Officers were called to Stubbington at 9.40am this morning after the body was discovered.

On Twitter, Gosport police said that the man found dead was in his 80s.

They wrote: ‘We were called at 9.40am today (27 Dec) after the body of a man, 83, was found next to a footpath in The Grove / Plymouth Drive, Stubbington.

‘The death is not being treated as suspicious & his next of kin have been informed.

‘A file is being prepared for the coroner.’
