Boy, 9, seriously injured after being hit by car near Mill Hill Primary School in Purbrook

A NINE-year-old-boy was rushed to hospital this morning after being hit by a car.

The boy is understood to have been walking to Mill Hill Primary School in Purbrook when he was injured.

A statement from Hampshire Constabulary said: ‘We were called at 8.55am this morning to reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian on Mill Road... just outside the Mill Hill Primary School.

‘A Hyundai was in collision with a nine-year-old boy, who has received serious but not life-threatening injuries.’

Police have confirmed that no arrests have been although the incident will be subject to investigation.
