Buckland rape accused pleads not guilty at Portsmouth Crown Court

A MAN has denied raping a teenager in Buckland.

Abdelarahman Adam appeared at Portsmouth Crown Court and denied being responsible for raping a 19-year-old woman.

It comes after the 18-year-old, of Gathorne Road, Wood Green, London, was among several men and boys arrested following an incident.

As reported, police investigated the rape of the teenage woman Turner Road, Buckland, just before 1am on September 20.

It happened near Ark Dickens school.

The men and boys aged between 16 and 18 were arrested by detectives investigating the incident.

Today Adam denied rape and judge William Ashworth set a trial date for June 1.

Adam was remanded in custody ahead of a further hearing due to be held on February 9.

Police previously appealed for anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage in the area to come forward.

The woman was receiving specialist support from trained officers following the incident, Hampshire police said.
