Car crashes into Gosport house leaving huge hole

A CAR has crashed into a house in Gosport leaving a gaping hole.

Photographs posted on social media reveal a grey car with a buckled bonnet in front of a gaping hole in the side of the house in Varos Close at the junction with Avery Lane on Thursday night.

Bricks can be seen around the wheels of the car.

Police tape can also be seen around the incident.

Fire crews from Gosport attended the incident but were ‘not required’ and the matter has been passed into the hands of Hampshire Constabulary.

A nearby resident, 34, who did not want to be named, said: 'All I know was (there was a) loud bang and music blaring.

'I looked out my window to see three or four late teens shouting at each other and saying about "getting his phone out of the car".

'Then I went to have a look what happened and saw the people running off through the estate and the car had hit the wall.'
