CASH has been stolen from a betting shop after a member of staff was threatened by a masked thug.

Police were called to Ladbrokes in Allaway Avenue, Paulsgrove, Portsmouth at 10.12am this morning (Saturday, December 17). A man entered the store and made demands for money from the till from a member of staff.

CCTV of a man officers want to speak with in connection with the robbery have now been released. It has not been released how much money was taken.

A police spokesperson said: ‘Enquiries are ongoing, and we are asking for anyone who has seen the man pictured in the CCTV images in the area today to please get in touch with police. Equally, if you know who this person is, please call us. Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting 44220507522.’
