Cosham man arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving following fatal crash

A MAN has been arrested following a fatal collision in which a young woman was killed.

A 21-year-old woman was killed on Down End Road, Fareham, after officers were called to a crash at 12.40am on June 25.

The arrest comes following an appeal for information on a Ford Transit van that was seen on the road around the time of the collision.

A 29-year-old man from Cosham, the driver of the Ford Transit, has now been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

The man has since been released from custody but remains under investigation.

Hampshire Constabulary have thanked the public for their support during the investigation but are still appealing for witnesses to contact the police – particularly anyone who may have dash cam or CCTV footage.
