Cosham yobs throw half a dozen eggs at police car

POLICE officers who left their vehicle parked in Cosham were dismayed to find it had been egged while they were on duty.

Officers had parked their police car in Roebuck Close, next to the bus interchange, earlier this evening.

But when they returned, they found around half a dozen eggs had been chucked at their car.

Posting on Twitter last night, Hampshire's Response and Patrol crew said: ‘Cosham E-Shift have not had an eggcellent shift this evening.

‘In eggceptional circumstances, our car sustained criminal damage which was no yolk.

‘To clarify – we really don't appreciate our vehicles being egged whilst we're trying to deal with incidents.’

A spokesman for the service said at the time: ‘Let's hope the patients it wasn't able to go to whilst unavailable weren't a member of your family in desperate need.’
