Crookhorn shooting: two men arrested over attempted murder released

TWO people have been arrested and released after a man was shot in head.

Jamie Sibley, 34, was seriously injured in the shooting, in Athena Avenue, Crookhorn, last Monday at 12.50am.

Police said today two men from Surrey, 30 and 21, were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and conspiracy to supply class A drugs.

But both men have been released and will face no further action at this stage, a spokesman said.

He said: ‘Officers are still trying to locate the weapon used in the incident, which remains a priority for the investigation.’

Armed police arrested a 37-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman on suspicion of attempted murder at an address on High Lawn Way, Havant, at around 2.25am. Both have been bailed until April 28.

A 31-year-old woman, from Waterlooville, was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder and bailed to April 28.

Yesterday Mr Sibley’s family appealed for justice, asking anyone with information to come forward.
