Customer chased robber out of a betting shop when they tried to get access to a safe
A masked suspect threatened the staff member with a claw hammer at the Betfred in The Precinct at 8.45pm last night (September 4), demanding access to the safe.Â
But the robbery was foiled when a customer chased the suspect out of the store.Â

Hide AdOfficers investigating have released CCTV images of the suspect.Â
Hampshire Constabulary said: '˜We're investigating an attempted robbery at Betfred in The Precinct, Waterlooville, at about 8.45pm last night (Tuesday 4 September).
'˜The person in the CCTV threatened a member of staff with a claw hammer and demanded access to the safe.
'˜The suspect was chased out of the shop by a customer, after the staff member said she didn't have access to the safe.
