Cyclist left with broken ankle after hit and run in Gosport

A CYCLIST has been left with a broken ankle after he was involved in an early hours hit and run.

The incident happened at around 2.25am on Saturday, July 31 in Military Road, just north of the Cocked Hat public house, in Gosport.

The cyclist was riding along when he was in collision with a dark coloured vehicle.

The vehicle did not stop, and left the scene.

The cyclist, a 21-year-old man, suffered a broken ankle as result of the collision.

Police are looking for witnesses.

PC Nick Gard said: ‘I am appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision or anyone who was driving in the area around the time, who may have seen the vehicle, or may have dash cam footage in their vehicle, to come forward.

‘If you have any information, or think you may know who is responsible, please call us on 101 quoting 44210303303.’
