As reported, locals who had gathered to pay their respects were left stunned when a disturbance erupted resulting in a man suddenly being held by officers against the wall of Church of St Peter & St Paul in Market Place, Ringwood, around 11.30am.

The man was detained by officers as people were leaving the church service, causing disruption to Remembrance events in the town. It was reported the inebriated man had been inside the church where he was making a nuisance of himself during the poignant service.
A police spokesperson said: “Shortly after 11.30am today, it was reported to us that a man was in drink and causing a nuisance inside the Church of St Peter & St Paul, Market Street, Ringwood.
“Already in attendance for Remembrance Sunday, officers responded to the report and escorted the man from the church.
