E-fit released after man tried to entice Portsmouth schoolgirl into his silver BMW

On Friday, November 20 at 3.10pm, a man in a silver BMW pulled up to a nine-year-old schoolgirl in Doyle Avenue, Hilsea – near Northern Parade Junior School – rolled the window down and asked her if she would like a lift home.
She said no and the man sped off. The child was not hurt in the incident.

Hide AdNow, police have released this e-fit in the hope that someone who was in the area might recognise him.
A spokeswoman from Hampshire Constabulary said: ‘The man we want to identify is mixed race, tall with short, black hair, a beard and moustache, bushy, black eyebrows, pimply skin and hairy arms.
‘[The man] in a small, silver BMW pulled up to a nine-year-old child, wound down the window and asked her if she would like a lift home.
‘The man, who the child did not know, did not get out of the car. No physical contact was made and the child was not hurt.
