A Fareham man is due to appear in court for the false imprisonment of a boy and the battery of two teenagers during an incident at a Superdrug store.

Edwin Hirst, 39, from Fareham, and Jake De-Geus, 29, from Chichester, are to appear in court charged with false imprisonment and battery of a 15-year-old boy from Worthing during an incident at a Superdrug store in East Street, Chichester, on March 22.

Hirst is also charged with the battery of a 16-year-old boy from Chichester. Both men are set to appear at Worthing Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.

The defendants were not employed by Superdrug and were working as Chichester BID rangers.
