Officers in Fareham are investigating a series of thefts within Locks Heath and Sarisbury Green after a sudden spike in crimes.

The authority is posting leaflets to residents and on social media to help track down those behind the thefts.

The leaflet is calling on people to check their CCTV, video doorbells or dash-cam to see if there has been anyone acting suspiciously on driveways or trying car door handles.

‘Please be aware of a recent rise in thefts from motor vehicles. Our team are currently investigating a series of thefts within the Locks Heath and Sarisbury Green areas and submitting this appeal for any CCTV,’ police posted on social media.
