Ford Fiesta is driven off after crash with MG on Goldsmith Avenue in Southsea

A DRIVER looked like he was going to stop after being involved in a crash – but then drove off.

Yesterday a silver Ford Fiesta was involved in an incident with a red MG in Goldsmith Avenue, Southsea.

Police, who were called at about 6pm, say the Fiesta driver looked like he was going to stop but fled the scene, heading south down Winter Road towards Eastney.

A spokesman for Hampshire Constabulary said: ‘Officers investigating the collision are keen to locate the man who was driving the Ford, and are urging him to contact us.

‘They also want to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision and could help identify the driver, or who may have noticed a Fiesta parked near their home that has sustained damage since Saturday night.’

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101, quoting the crime reference number 44200173685.
