Gosport man arrested on suspicion of sexual offence won't be charged, police confirm

A MAN who was arrested last year on suspicion of a sexual offence will not be charged, according to police.

On July 28 last year, police arrested a 26-year-old man from Gosport on suspicion of a sexual offence relating to grooming a child and harassment without violence.

He has since been under investigation for months while police looked into the case.

Now, it has been confirmed that the man will not face any charges.

A spokesman from Hampshire Constabulary said: ‘Police thoroughly investigated this, and following discussions with the Crown Prosecution Service, a decision has been made to take no further action.’
