Gosport police arrest two men following crash involving Jaguar and a stolen Ford Focus

TWO men have been arrested after a crash involving a suspected stolen car in Gosport.

Emergency services were called to Military Road in Gosport at 4.44pm yesterday after reports of a crash involving a Jaguar and a stolen Ford Focus.

The vehicle had been taken from Cooperage Green earlier in the day, a spokeswoman from Hampshire Constabulary said.

The driver of the Jaguar suffered minor injuries, and was treated at the scene by paramedics.

A member of the public detained a man from the Ford Focus, while three other occupants are believed to have fled.

Two men, 20 and 21, both from Gosport, have been arrested in connection with the theft of a vehicle.

The spokeswoman said: ‘The two men remain in custody at this time.’
