GOSPORT police celebrated arrests for drug possession and theft in the town this morning.

Officers arrested a 27-year-old male on suspicion of possessing Class A drugs at an address in Trinity Close.

‘He is now on his way to custody thanks to great work by Gosport Neighbourhood Policing Team and High Harm Team,’ a post on Twitter said.

Police also reported a 51-year-old female had been arrested on suspicion of theft from a shop in Forton Road and was ‘now on her way to custody’.

Meanwhile, Luke Blyth, 33, of no fixed abode, has been charged with two racially aggravated public order offences, both of which occurred in September.

He will next appear at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court on June 18 next year.
