Gosport teenager left unconscious in vicious gang attack in park

Hampshire Constabulary is appealing for witnesses after a 13-year-old boy was assaulted in Leesland Park in Lavinia Road, Gosport, on Thursday, March 18.

At around 6pm, he was waiting on a bench near the skate park when three to five youths approached and attacked him, leaving him unconscious.

When he woke, the offenders had left the area – but he has left descriptions of the attackers with police.

Police Staff Investigator Daniela Holland said: ‘The victim suffered concussion and lost consciousness as a result of the attack.

‘I am appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident to come forward and speak to us. Did you see the group in the area? Did you see where they went after the attack?

‘If you have any information that could help our investigation, please contact us.’

One of the attackers was around 15 years old, lean and 6ft, with black hair and wearing a black puffa jacket and black tracksuit bottoms.

Another was described as around 15 years old, a wider build with bigger thighs and wearing a black tracksuit and a puffa coat.

A third was roughly 14 years old, 5ft 7in, with wider build and wearing a navy blue Nike tracksuit with the bottoms sagging down.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Hampshire Constabulary on 101, quoting the crime reference number 44210102045.
