Havant man arrested on suspicion of drink driving and possession of offensive weapon after crash

A MAN has been arrested after a multi-vehicle crash in Leigh Park.

The collision happened at the junction of Purbrook Way and Park House Farm Way at around 8.13am today (May 9).

Hampshire Constabulary say that the crash involved a car and a parked vehicle.

No injuries were reported as a result of the collision.

An eyewitness to the crash said: ‘The silver car rammed a moving blue car at the rear and propelled it across the road, up the kerb, across the grass verge and into the house.’

Police officers were called to the scene and a 33-year-old man from Havant was arrested on suspicion of driving a motor vehicle when alcohol level above limit, possession of an offensive weapon and driving whilst disqualified.

The man is currently in police custody while enquiries take place.
