Hilsea Lido burglary suspects caught after police chase in Portsmouth

TWO suspected burglars were arrested after a police chase in Portsmouth.

Officers were called to Hilsea Lido on Tuesday night to reports of a burglary.

After a short chase on foot, two men were arrested.

Portsmouth Police shared details of the incident on social media.

‘We wanted to update you with a result from last night. Following a call from a member of the public our Response and Patrol colleagues attended Hilsea Lido.

‘After a short foot chase two males have been arrested on suspicion of burglary at Hilsea Lido. They remain in custody at this time whilst investigations are ongoing.

‘We will be patrolling the area and speaking with the staff at the Lido about repairs and assisting them with trying to prevent incidents such as this reoccurring.
