Charlotte’s family say she felt she would never be released from prison and she described the IPP as a death sentence.

The inquest will be opened on Monday, February 24 before assistant coroner Simon Milburn, and is expected to last seven days.

Charlotte, born on Hayling Island, was under suicide and self-harm monitoring procedures when she died.

It is understood that she is one of four women to have died in a women’s prison whilst serving an IPP sentence.
