Joanne Sheen: Fifth person arrested as part of probe into murder of woman last seen in Fareham

A fifth person has been arrested as part of the investigation into the murder of a woman who was last seen in Fareham.

Joanne Sheen was reported missing by her family on February 22 after they had not heard from her for several months.

Police have said that the last known corroborated sighting of Jo was on Thursday, December 5 last year when she travelled from Fareham to Southampton with a friend.

Joanne is still missing and her body has not been recovered.

Yesterday a 53-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder, the fifth person to be arrested on this charge.

He has been released from custody but remains under investigation.

A 63-year-old man, 50-year-old man, 53-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman have been released under investigation.

A 29-year-old man has been bailed with conditions.

Enquiries are ongoing.
